Tyler Reed

I’m currently a Senior Environment Artist at Playstation’s Bend Studio. 

I got my start in the industry in 2018 after graduating from UTD, and began working at an outsourcing studio called Nerve Software. I worked on Call of Duty Black Ops 4, then DOOM: Eternal where we got to work in the studio alongside the id team. Things moved fast, and I learned an incredible amount in the early years of my career. 

Then covid happened, Nerve had to shut down, and I was fortunate enough to find a new position working on some small thing called Star Wars. Working in the film industry for the first time, but still using Unreal Engine, I worked with our team at Happy Mushroom to create environments for 3 Star Wars shows: Kenobi, Mandalorian S3, and Skeleton Crew.

After that, I made the jump back to the games industry, where I have been working for Bend Studio on an unannounced project as a Senior Artist and Pod Lead.

Other than that, I help out with the IGDA, pickleball, photograph abandoned buildings, and play a significant amount of movement shooters.
