Figure drawing has long been one of the foundational practices for artists and animators. Whether you work traditionally or digitally, drawing from a live model strengthens observation, gesture, anatomy, proportion, and visual storytelling.
Our Figure Drawing Sessions are designed to give artists an opportunity to step away from the mouse, pick up a pencil, and reconnect with the fundamentals of drawing. Three professional instructors will lead sessions throughout the day, each bringing their own teaching style and artistic perspective. While each instructor may approach the class differently, all sessions are intended to be welcoming, educational, and suitable for artists of all skill levels.
What to Bring
Industry Giants will provide the model, instructor, easels, and chairs.
Please bring your own:
- Drawing paper or sketchbook
- Dry drawing media (graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, pens, markers, etc.)
- Digital drawing tablet (optional)
Wet media, including paint and other liquid materials, are not permitted.
Please note that easels and chairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are not guaranteed for every participant.
Studio Etiquette
To create a professional and respectful studio environment, all participants are expected to follow these guidelines:
- Treat the instructor, model, and fellow artists with courtesy and respect.
- Please minimize entering or leaving the room during drawing sessions, as it can be distracting to both the model and other participants.
- Photography, video recording, and screen recording are strictly prohibited. This includes cameras, phones, tablets, and any other recording devices.
- Digital drawing tablets are welcome for creating artwork but may not be used to photograph, record, or livestream the session.
- Participants who fail to follow these guidelines or who behave in a disruptive or disrespectful manner may be asked to leave the session.
Model Information
Figure drawing sessions will feature a professional live model. Most sessions will use a traditional nude figure model. Depending on the instructor’s lesson plan, one session may instead feature a costumed or cosplay model.
