Don Dixon is an award-winning animator, director, and visual artist with over two decades of experience in fine arts, animation, and motion graphics. He has contributed to major animated feature films, including The Book of Life (2014), Free Birds (2013), Rock Dog (2016), Sherlock Gnomes (2018), UglyDolls (2019), Scoob! Raised in a creatively rich household in North Carolina, Don honed his skills at Interlochen Arts Academy and the Savannah College of Art and Design. Beyond his feature film work, he directed the award-winning animated short Darwin the Dreamer and teaches in the Storyboard Intensive at Interlochen, mentoring the next generation of storytellers. Whether building surreal 3D worlds in Cinema 4D or leading imaginative projects at Honeycutt, Don’s mission remains consistent: to craft art that resonates, sparks curiosity, and invites audiences to see the world through a more expressive, inclusive lens.
